Zoot suits gained first popularity in Harlem Jazz culture, neighborhood in New York City of Manhattan, then begun to be the popular clothing among African American, American Hispanics, Italian Americans and Filipino Americans during the 1930’s and 1940’s

As with other contemporary fads, zoot suits were frequently portrayed or mentioned in Warner Brothers cartoons, costumes mentioning Dick Tracey wore zoot suits in his movies, worn on special plays both the movies and comics, used in musical plays, ballroom or dancing events, and is gaining it’s popularity on our fashion trend of today.
